Beschreibung

Embedded Systems (ES) are integrated into superior systems like automobiles, airplanes, cameras, smartphones, appliances or medical devices. Inside them, ES are responsible for tasks like e.g. control engineering or monitoring. ES are thought of as one of the most important applications of computer engineering in the next years. Todays estimations state the distribution of processors in ES to be higher than in PCs. For the seminar we offer topics from the following fields:

  • Development platforms
  • Power optimization in ES
  • Multicore systems in ES
  • ES in automobiles

The special topics are presented in the introductory meeting. Each student may choose one of them and has to do a 30 minutes presentation as well as a written summary. The students are instructed by the lecturers. The literature will be presented in the introductory meeting.
